There’s a Livestrong bracelet for that!

By now you’re probably more than familiar with the iPhone 4 signal reception issues related to its cellular antenna. The stand-out design element on the iPhone – the stainless steel elbow band that frames the new Apple smartphone – is also the bane of Apple and Steve Jobs’ PR team right now. Turns out, that sexy steel frame works well as a cellular antenna, but only when it’s not being covered by your hand. You know, like when you hold the phone to make a call. Nevertheless, if you’re having iPhour reception problems related to the antenna, there’s a quick fix that involves a pair of scissors and a Livestrong (or similar) bracelet.
The solution to the iPhour reception issue, according to Jobs & Co., is to use one of Apple’s iPhone 4 bumper cases. We’d prefer a real solution, but sometimes you gotta roll with the punches. One way to roll with the punches is to use one of those stretchy, rubberized Livestrong bracelets (or something similar) as a makeshift bumper case for your Apple phone. Rather than pay the $30 that Apple charges for their bumper cases, a Livestrong bracelet will cost you about $1 and some elbow grease.
